6 months ago, while celebrating Christmas, I got a makeup course from my sister and my parents. If you have ever seen me cruising around town you would know I’m not famous for my well made face or my sense of style, more like my lack of face and style. Most likely the reason I got this course to begin with.
But that does not mean I don’t like makeup, it’s the opposite really, I love the endless possibilities it brings. However, most of the time I’m too lazy or tired to make the effort. Today is the day when that changes! Maybe…
The girl who was helping me was absolutely fantastic. Instead of pointing out all the bad things with my appearance (like my oily skin, my itsy bitsy eyes or my eyebrows that look more like distant cousins than sisters) she just gave me the best tips and tricks while being super nice and giving me a nice face. She even let me try out a few things and to my big surprise it didn’t look terrible when I was done.
I have never had my lips filled out so that was a fun thing to try out and I’m pretty sure I like it. And the wonderful instructor/makeup artist fixed my eyebrows, she will forever be a hero in my book.
My main goal for today was to get a good base so I went for a natural everyday look with some fun eyeshadow (I went with a greenish/turquoise because that’s what I have at home and I didn’t want to be tempted to buy new eyeshadows). After wearing my new face for the entire day I feel like I have found something good. It doesn’t feel like I’m covered with a ton of products and it still looks as good hours later as it did newly done.
Next step is to learn how to do it myself. Painting a face is an art form and I’m just an apprentice in a world of masters. But you know, time will hopefully at least make me an aspiring amateur.
Also, bonus points because the BB cream comes in a box that glitters.
