It is just a few hours before midnight and I’m totally pumped and ready to get this show on the road.
My characters are semi-developed. I barley know anything about the world or setting and the plot is almost nonexistent.
But that doesn’t matter because this is exactly how I wanted it. I want to dive head first into the story and see where it takes me. The most important thing is that my characters are interesting enough to keep me going.
Compelling characters makes me an eager writer.
I think that’s the most important thing during Nanowrimo. Find the thing that makes you an eager writer. Find the one thing that you are compelled and giddy and excited to write. During Nanowrimo, that’s all that matters.
Because as the lifelong saying goes. “You can edit a shitty story but you can’t edit a blank page”
So get excited. Find a cause. Find your dream character, your dream plot or your dream villain.
